16 Things I've Learned In 2016

Tuesday 20 December 2016

  1. Never underestimate the power of a good sleep. Sleep is vital. Sleep is life.

  2. Don't do reviews until actually testing out that particular product a few times. Lesson learned from my review on Kylie Cosmetic's Metallic Liquid Lipstick review (here).

  3. Bills are inevitable. And if I just might add, student loans are the worst ones.

  4. So save up goddammit.

  5. A lip liner is a necessity - especially when applying dark coloured lipstick.

  6. Reading takes you places - and is the fastest exit from reality.

  7. People will disappoint you. Not that I haven't learned this already but as your grow older, those disappointments will just keep on coming.

  8. Ignore people who talk behind your back. They're behind you for a reason.

  9. Dating websites aren't for me. Because I'm not into short and meaningless commitments - although, kudos to couples out there who manage to sustain a long lasting relationship through getting to know each other online.

  10. Applying powder over your lipstick makes it long lasting. Why do I only know this now?

  11. "Don't force someone to make time for you. If they really want to, they will." Bull-fucking-shit. Why don't you try working shifts with three off days in two weeks while studying part time. It's not about whether you're willing to make time for someone. It's having to prioritize your responsibilities because you're a fucking adult.

  12. Drinking water has far more benefits than you can ever imagine.

  13. The end of love does not equate to the end of life.

  14. Stop taking relationship advice from the internet. Every relationship is different and the advice you see may not be suitable for your situation.

  15. There are people out there who cares for you. You just need to find it in your heart to allow them to do so.

  16. Life may not turn out the way you plan, and it's okay.
